The Blessing Of The Fleet is Darien’s signature annual festival honoring its historic shrimping industry. Hosted by the Darien-McIntosh County Chamber of Commerce, this three-day event features an art show, food vendors, arts and crafts, a YMCA 5K, classic car show, kids’ activities, live music, and a vibrant marine parade.

The highlight comes Sunday with the blessing of local shrimp boat captains, wishing them a safe and prosperous season. Drawing over 30,000 attendees, it’s the largest Blessing Of The Fleet on the East Coast—a lively celebration of community, family, food, and fun.
