The story behind Pooler’s hottest UK-inspired spot begins in 2013, when Gillian Wagstaff and her three children founded The British Pie Society. With the help of Gillian’s brother Ed, a seasoned bakery expert from the UK, they brought their dream of serving authentic British pies to the Savannah area. What’s their secret? They blend classic recipes, like Steak & Ale Pie, with bold international flavors for their rotating Pie of the Month, including inventive creations like Gumbo Pie, delivering a one-of-a-kind taste experience to Pooler.In 2017, the family opened their first flagship restaurant, expanding the menu to feature even more UK favorites. The interior captures the charm of a traditional pub, from moody artwork to dark-toned seating and a rich burgundy palette. Since then, the restaurant has become a local favorite, hosting unique and memorable events like their beloved Afternoon Tea series, making it a must-visit destination for fans of hearty pies and cozy pub vibes.
