Events Around Pooler

Along with Pooler’s local events, there’s plenty to check out in the surrounding area in Savannah! One of the biggest perks of staying in Pooler and traveling to Savannah for an outside event is that our community is safe, family-friendly and much cheaper for travel costs. Plus, we’re only a short drive away from the big city, which saves you time and money on finding street parking.
If you’re interested in maritime history, the historic 1877 Tall Ship ELISSA is setting sail to Savannah as part of the Sail 250 voyage. Taking place from June 5-6 at the Rousakis Riverfront Plaza, this is a rare opportunity to experience a living piece of maritime heritage as the ship hasn’t returned to this port since 1894. On Friday, June 5, there will be free deck tours of the ship from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., where patrons can explore her craftsmanship, stories and legacy. Then, on Saturday, June 6, there will be a special Salute to Sunset Party featuring an evening of food, drinks and music and a salute to end the day. Tickets are available for purchase in advance for the party.
Another unique event coming to Savannah is the 9th Annual Pride Bar Crawl, which takes place on June 20! Tickets are available for purchase online and come with a variety of perks for this exciting celebration. Along with no cover at all bars, Mid Party and After Party, you’ll get a souvenir cup, temporary tattoos, food specials and drink specials at partner venues. Your purchase also gets you a custom pride bar crawl badge with vouchers.
